Beginnings is a collection of "classic" Digital Droo music originally released in the late nineties and early 2000s. During this time, electronic music production was relatively new to Droo, and he did what he could with a bit of gear and a Macintosh clone. The music gained popularity and convinced Droo that he had something special happening, so he invested in an expensive sampler and a full-blown synthesizer. Many of the songs on Beginnings were made using the sounds of these boxes, piped through a mixer, and recorded into the computer using the mini-jack input. Those were humble times.
Audio production was also new to Droo, so what you hear is pure, what-Droo-thought-sounded-good, mixes.
What this album is, is an account of Digital Droo's growth as an electronic music producer–20 pieces, some short, some long, all squished into a collection called Beginnings.
