PRAISE FOR UNFOLDED...

Unbelievable! ...a progressive statement of epic proportions that rocks.
--Progression Magazine (USA)

...an olympic Discipline...twenty years from now Unfolded Like Staircase will be seen as a milestone of the prog-revival. Heaven!
--Stage Magazine (Belgium)

...Hearing the music itself will surely give better justice to this outstanding release than I could hope to give with words alone. What a great way to start off the new year!

DISCIPLINE.

Unfolded Like Staircase boasts three nearly fifteen-minute songs including the brilliant Canto IV (Limbo), as well as a twenty-two minute epic entitled Into the Dream.

Discipline. has become a mainstay of the international underground movement known as progressive rock. A few dozen radio shows around the world, and an equal number of prog-oriented publications have found in Discipline. and singer Matthew Parmenter an unflinching anti-commercialism and dedication to songwriting.

STRUNG OUT RECORDS:

Strung Out Records released Discipline.'s studio CDs, "Push & Profit" (1993) and "Unfolded Like Staircase" (1997), as well as Matthew Parmenter's solo CD "astray" (2004). The independent label also produced the definitive visual record of the band in concert: "Discipline. Live 1995" (DVD 2005).

BRAVO BRAVO
Spread the word!!!! If you like prog, this is the best! Parmenters voice goes right into your body and brain and stays there! This is dramatic, melodic, hard and proggy.Together with the best of musicans, Parmenter has made an album
they can be proud of.The words of a poet,The music of giants. Keep up the good work!!

Best American Indie Album of the 90's
This is, quite simply, one of the most important albums produced by an American band in the 90's. It ain't for musical wimps, and if you have the attention span of a mosquito, buzz off. But if you've read this far and you have any interest at all in the best music almost no one's ever heard of, pick this up. Right now! It's dark, powerful and relentlessly beautiful. The sort of music that proves it's worthwhile to dig among the filth until you find a gem like this.

Amazing progressive, art rock from the USA
This cd of four epic tunes could be described as a combination of Van Der Graaf Generator, Genesis and originality with a vocalist that will pull you into his world and a guitarist with that something special. This is a premiere, progressive, art rock album for the new century. A future classic. If you are a fan of the progressive rock of the 70's, you owe yourself a listen to this cd.
