New York City- There's a new sound on the streets making some noise in more than one language. Armada Records along with the help of veteran DJ 1st Klass proudly presents you with 13 hard-hitting flavorful tracks in this new groundbreaking project that is sure to make music history.
Entitled "LCD presents Toxic, Volume 1", the cd is a compilation of Latin Hip-Hop, Spanish Reggae and Jamaican-fused Dancehall. Always trying to quench the thirst of all their fans, the LCD production team has also included several hip hop tracks in English and even some with Spanglish lyrics.
With hot tracks and tight production by J.Toxic, Truetrax, Chino X-Large and Dj Tek-Nice; and songs handpicked and put together by Dj 1st Klass- Armada Records is hoping to put the new fusion of Latin hip-hop and Spanish Reggae on the map in the United States.
"The whole concept behind Toxic was to create intoxicating music that takes you to another level without the need for drugs or alcohol," explains J.Toxic, who spearheaded the production of the project "The music makes you high" he adds.
This positive message in the album is not to be mistaken for gospel-type hip-hop. Being a former club dj who has a gift for knowing what the crowd wants, dj 1ST KLASS was invited to this project because of his 20 years experience as a club and mixtape dj. He has concocted a formula for street thunder-thumping-beats and rappers with a toxic lyrical arsenal that will not only gain recognition in the streets, but will have the clubs in a frenzy.
What also makes this album unique is that it features artists from all over the country including New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Miami and Puerto Rico. The compilation features different artists including the trio of LCD and Puerto Rico's own Mikey Perfecto. Mikey is known for his smash hit "La Negra Tiene Tumbao" in which he was featured along side Celia Cruz, and also for his work as a member of the group 3 To Get Funky. LCD has a growing fan base thru a number of underground releases and they have also been featured in various editions of the "IN THE HOUSE MAG RADIO SHOW" Compilation CD.
