DJ GREGO BRAZIL / ULTIMATE LATIN GROOVES
TRACK INFO:
1-Mi Corazon is a sexy Latin House overture. From my Woodstock & hippie
Years in the 70's when I started working as a DJ, I was introduced to Ravi
Shankar’s Sitar sounds. The fusion influences come from Alan Parsons, Carole King,
Undisputed True, Norman Whitefield. The final part House & keys solo trip
were inspired by Emerson, Lake and Palmer & Rick Wakeman’s style,
progressive rock lessons... Welcome to the eletronic sounds with old school!!!
My partner, the master keys Jason Klein from Miami Music Authority,
we programmed this track using, MPC's, 909, June, DX-7, Vintage Synths.
2-Beatutini Love Mix. Emmanuel Bournellis is my father, “a professor of
Theology”. He was a dedicated Orthodox Christian that woke me up every
Sunday morning at 7 o'clock to go to church. Gregorian Byzantine lyrics
still stay vividly in my mind. The praying message of beauty, faith and love
to the world from Carol Wojtila "Pope John Paul II" inspired my DJ & religious
sense to make this groove. This track is dedicated in memory ofthem...
Kirie Eleison, Kirie Eleison, Kirie Eleison ...
Many thanks to Rodrigo Vieira, partner in this spiritual moment of our lives.
3-Fiesta Fiesta, Baila Baila is featuring DJ Double C from Sao Paulo, Brazil,
best DJ scratches, Jason Klein's (Monster Taxi) killer keys; Paulo Bitencourt
and nice hypnotic keys with smart Grego’s batukadas jamming this break beat Latin groove. Dj mixers, turntables Technics 1200 & MPC's, works for hard groove.
4-Paranaue World Cup, Maracana stadium is “on flames” and the traditional
spiritual afro capoeira song, Paranaue is singed from Mulheres Negras, very respected female vocal afrobrazilian roots and performed as it was singed hundred
years ago when the ships with the slaves arrived from Africa to Brazil. In
Capoeira is like anthem. Brazilian people love Soccer, House music,Capoeira, Pandeiro, Berimbao... all those influences were programmed with the
best Brazilian DJ & Producer, Sylvio Muller, Pedro Franceschini master keys,
Berimbao by Mestre Gastao, vocals by Coral das Mulheres Negras.
5-Samba in this House, DJ Grego’s white label MWP was released only in vinyl
especially for the Winter Music Conference, Miami Beach, FL, 1998.
Influences from the Magic Session of Little Louie Vega and Tony Humphrey's night, DJ approved! Strong Carna House with Funk Favela Break Batukadas.
Programming team: DJ Sylvio Muller and Paulo Bitencourt.
Take care of your speakers!
6-Nuyorican Carnival, New York City is my kind of town, Tom Moultons Salsoul
old school Latin energy! Vinyl buyer for years at New York City’s record stores, and DJ technology in Manhattan 48 st., all night clubbing, Palladium, Sound Factory, Mars, Paradise, Boricuas in Da House! They all inspired me to express all my drum
line Latin groove, great Carnival Samba School! Carlos de Andrade & Renato Pinto sound engeniers at Vison USA, Jason Klein w/smart keys, polaris, LFO's... added to the MPC's get a DJ power groove. Pump it up Latinos!

post prods with Sylvio Muller, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
8-Sao Salvador, in Bahia the groove never stops! Bahia, Brazil, is the
Afro beat Brazilian State, so... wherever you’re looking at smells like afro
groove... Programing team, Eddie Valdez "Edwaldo" - Salvador best DJ & Producer

Berimbau, vocal of Coral das Mulheres Negras, gives you the roots from the
birthplace of Gilberto Gil, Carlinhos Brown...
9-Rio to Miami, Lincoln Olivetti is the maestro of the most musicians, artists,
producers, in Brazil, old friends from 80's. While living in Miami, together we programmed this fantastic track in Rio during the carnival. Serious DJ effects,
great Batucadas w/hard house beats, War, Isaac Hayes, Eumir Deodato, Mass Production, Brass Construction influences, w/Electronic Flava! The wizard Lincoln Olivetti burnt all keys, Wurtzweiel, Virus bass oscillators with my favorite drum line programming MPC thanks Mr. Roger Linn, Bahia Timbaladas sounds grooving!
10-Ai Ai, Ritmo as Brasileiras tem? Brazilian girls have the rhythm?
Techno tribe rave was produced while I was in Los Angeles hearing Digwee & Sasha section. Inspired by Carlos de Andrade’s guitar accords and then post production in Rio and Sao Paulo with the marvelous Alex Ray Hunt, great DJ Producer and great
disciple! Jason Klein FLA. Korg monster lead! Fat synth sounds, Oberheins,Rolland JP, MPC and Reasons sounds very cool.
11-Hallelujah, when Carol Wojtyla arrived in Africa, people sang at the
airport, Oe, Oe, Papa! Added with the Pope’s speech "Thanks to the Lord",
has inspired me to produce this spiritual tribal afro house tribute. Jason
Klein at the groove keys, Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
12-Minute of Silence/Pater Nostro, everybody needs a minute of silence,
to relieve his soul, his ears. Produced with “respect to our teachers,
lovers”, as the Pope says... and with this respect for his words, we rock this R&B.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to make music in his name, almost high.
To sir with love... DJ Grego Respect!

DJ Grego has the Brazilian groove on
I worked with Grego for 4 years and it is great seeing him release this album. He is one of the most prolific DJ's from Brazil and has a real hear for what is hot!!!!

This is a great compilation of songs he has done independent from his major label releases. It is much honor to have been part of this album.
