Album Notes
Only the strong survive is a phrase often used by many, but can only be identified by a few. Holding true to its meaning, and at times when it seems that only strength can carry you through a struggle, no one can relate to this more than Queens native DL. Born and raised Dwayne Clark in Queens, N.Y., fought his way through many trials and tribulations of every day life; with only one thing in his heart and soul; to make music. Since DL was a young boy, his love for music has been his life. However, it didn't come easy to him. He had to fight his way through to make it. Since he became the age to claim his own identity, he had to hustle to make it in the game of life. Unfortunately, like many youths he found his salvation in the streets. Everyday became a constant hustle. A hustle to live, breathe and just exist.
Growing up listening to music moguls such as L.L. Cool J. and Run D.M.C., DL knew in his heart that soon it would be his time to shine. Since the age of 14 when he rapped out his first verse "Only the strong survive, the weak ones already fell", he felt compelled to write about his woes through his lyrics and had it embedded in his brain that he would excel far past the pain. As years went on, it became more difficult to put his heart into his love because he was battling many realities of life. From watching his family, suffer through hard times, constant run-ins with the law, to watching close friends succumb to the violence of the streets.
In 1996, DL decided to take his dream to the next level. Instead of just becoming an artist, he wanted to have his own empire. He, along with childhood friend John (J-Wall) Wallace decided to start their own label. The two of them put their street and business knowledge to work and conceived the idea, and it wasn't long after that Triplebeam Entertainment was born. It's a new day and age now and the game has changed. Leaving the hurt and pain in the past, DL has regained full control of his life. Never more focused, DL is now ready to claim his mark in the music era. Taking the world to a new plateau, DL is now prepared to get the clubs jumping and systems pumping with his sounds of music.

Awesome, this cd rocks from start to finish
This cd is hot!!!! What first got my attention was The title of one of the songs, Can I Live 03'. I was thinking this guy cant be for real messing with a Jay-Z classic. But I gotta hand it to DL he really pulled it off. His version is incredible I listened to it everyday since I had the cd. His other joints are crazy too, but that Can I Live 03'...Wow!!!
