Album Notes
Don Glor and his buddy "Paul" Houdeshell originally wrote this song while driving down to the Santa Barbara area in California while on leave from the Air Force. The lyrics were scratched out on a napkin where it sat dormant for many years. Since then Don has made several scratch recordings, and made many changes to the song including increased the tempo, changed the key, the title, some lyrics, the instrumentation, and the arrangement. "Paul" the co-writer of the original version of this song has since passed away. This song is dedicated to his memory. This style of this song as currently recorded is kind of Charlie Daniels meets Stevie Ray Vaughan, with vocals that sound more like country artist Luke Bryan singing. I would like to thank Chandler Pratt, Brian Cogburn, Lucky Lew, and Dave Hawkes for their amazing musical skills on this song, and also Lucky Lew of Wave Parade Recording for his applying his production and recording engineering magic as always.
