Album Notes
I would like to introduce to you an artist of exceptional talent and versatility. Don Papillon, or Don P. for short, is a hip-hop artist and writer originally from Chicago Illinois. Her name, "Papillon", comes from the French language and means "Butterfly". It is pronounced with the L's silent as Pap-y-on. "Don" signifies her level of talent being the utmost high. Thus, I present to you Don Papillon, the hip-hop artist that floats like a butterfly to the highest level of talent attainable.

Don P's leading single on her CD Sampler "Corvette, Cadillac, Pick up Truck" has a video circulating throughout Genral Motors (GM). She has also been featured on the front page GM's "Metal Press" publication, and featured on GM's Broadcasting news "GM Drivetime". Don P's talent is even recognized and praised Rick Wagoner Jr., Chairman and CEO GM Corporation.

Don P. started writing at a very young age, and has been performing for more tChan 10 years. During this time Don P. has worked with several producers and artists on the underground music circuit. She has also had the pleasure of working with rap groups Crucial Conflict, Digital Underground, and Do or Die. In 1999 she released her first album "Evolution of a Butterfly" on the underground music circuit via, and in store consignment.

Don P's experience on stage is developed as well due to the many live performances she has done over the years. Some of those performances were: North America International Auto Show 2004, Wsnx/Clear Channel Radio Gand Rapids Finest Freestyler 2003, The Taste of Austin, Chicago Illinois; Lamani Talent Showcase 2001, Grand Rapids Michigan; Phi beta Sigma Touch of Blue Ball 2000, SIUC; Iota Phi Theta Def Comedy Jam 2000, SIUC; SPC Springfest w/Digital Underground, SIUC 2000; Kappa Alpha Psi Kappa Karnival 1999, SIU; B-Fly Entertainment's Five Mics 1,2,3,4, & 5 1999-2001, SIUC; Madd Loot Entertainment's Platinum Style CD Showcase 1999, SIU; Austin Town Hall Back to School Jam 1998, Chicago Illinois.

Don P. recently relocated to Grand Rapids Michigan where she met producer Jeffrey Valantine, and in 2 months time completed her second effort "Don of a New Day". Don of a New Day is a 16 song "retail ready" CD displaying a wide range of Don P.'s writing ability, flow, delivery, and versatility. All of the experience Don P. has had over the years working with different producers, artists, and studios coupled with Jeffrey Valantine's more than 20 years of experience in the music industry, has created a product that is undeniably top notch. Don P. can compete with any artist in the hip-hop/rap music genre. Likewise, "Don of a New Day" can compete with any album currently in its genre of music. But don't take my word for it, just listen for yourself.

Hip-Hop Head: NY, NY

This CD is definitly worth the 5!
This CD is hot! DP needs to be working with someone like Kanye West. Just as he does she's putting the Hip back in Hip-Hop! Track #4 gives you alittle taste of ALL the different styles she can spit. You name it it's there! Definitly worth the 5.

Excellent CD!
I'm not even a hip-hop fan, but I love this CD! Everyone must get it!
