ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hi,
My name is Doris Opiyo
What inspired me to write and sing songs is my love for music from an early age. Becoming a Christian also provided me with an environment where I could freely exercise my gift of singing.
Realizing how happy and encouraged the Christian songs I learnt made me; I developed the desire to share it with the world out there; with the hope of spreading the good news of Christ right into people’s homes or wherever they may be.

The person God used to inspire me the most was my mother who was so gifted and talented in singing, dancing and composing songs. Thanks Mum.
My Dad also used to sing Hymns with such beautiful voice and I always enjoyed listening to them. He used to take us as children to church on special occasions. For example, Christmas, Easter, Funerals and whenever a Bishop or Reverend was visiting the village church.

Most of the songs express my gratefulness to God for what He has done for me over the years and also invite others to come to The Lord and experience His wonderful love. They are written in both Luo (widely spoken by people from Northern Uganda) and English languages.

I pray that all who listen to these songs will greatly be blessed and may The Lord God meet you at the point of your needs.
Thank you for all your support.
