Doug Allen

by Doug Allen

... A great combination of original songs, ranging in sound from Keith Urban to Train... with a little bit of the Zac Brown Band in there for good measure. There's not a bad song in the bunch ... featuring two Movie Soundtrack songs as well. Enjoy!

Album Notes
With two songs off the new CD getting picked up by Major Motion Pictures, he’s off to a pretty good start…

People say this guy from Connecticut sounds a little like Train, Counting Crows, or John Mayer with a little bit of the country sounds of Keith Urban or the Zac Brown Band mixed in. He’s a singer/songwriter who’s catchy melodies, and rich voice, are getting him noticed by filmmakers and music fans from coast to coast. He grew up camping and fishing in the woods and streams of his home state of CT.

This is his 4th CD, and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with some of terrific players. Two of the songs have been featured in movie soundtracks: You'll see doug playing "Blue Room" in the bar scene with Renee Zellweger in the Universal Pictures Film One True Thing. The 11th song on the CD "One Room Flat" is used in the LIONSGATE film "A Reason to Believe" along with other tunes by the 10,000 maniacs and REM.
