ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Melbourne based jazz guitarist specializing in Brazilian guitar features MPB classics and new compositions in a typical choro ensemble setting, 6 & 7-string guitars with cavaquinho, mandolin, accordion and pandeiro. This is sophisticated contrapuntal music with a strong sense of interplay and improvisation that interprets themesfrom the classic choro repertoire to create swinging and soulful music with a timelessness that is associated with early jazz and the ginga of Brazilian samba.
