ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Strollin' is a compilation of timeless classics. They celebrate my emergence and recovery from a difficult personal period. The joy and excitement I felt singing these jewels with such talented musicians is conveyed throughout the album.

The 1990 recording session produced six songs in a "Live to DAT" tape format. There were only a few takes per song in this single daytime session. The masterful engineering of Dan Moretti and the artful arrangements of Mark Small made it possible. I want to thank them again for their friendship and collaboration.

My One and Only Love was recorded in 1997 as part of a compilation CD, Boston Sings Out, which featured twenty five Boston area vocalists accompanied by the wonderful Frank Wilkins Trio. It is a beautiful recording of a special song. I regularly close my shows with it as a dedication to my wife Virginia. Ginny inspired me to release this music to a wider audience.

So here it is, in all it's youthful exuberance. I sang my heart out. If asked, I'd say these are some of my best performances. I want to thank David and Cathy Correia of Celebration Sound and Rick Couto of Orange Dot Design for their help in making this album possible.

I am still singing and enjoying this wonderful life. One day at a time, one breathe at a time. I try to carry the musical message, that Peace is Possible and every day is a gift to be gratefully and joyfully opened.

All the best,
drew

Delectable, swinging, elegant
These renditions of classic tunes take you anew into the fire and grace of artfuly expressed inspiration. Familiar, fresh, vigorous, free and intimate. Well done and deserves a full appreciation! Keep singing your heart out... It's on my "speed selection". A best of candidate, surely.
