ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Sophic Hydrolith is a hermetic alchemy term that refers to a mystical something which is the quintessence of goodness. This collection of geometric sound patterns have been distilled over the past two years and are rooted in the purest core of electronic music as I have perceived it; a kick drum and a bass line. Using an Access Virus , a Nord Modular and a Roland Drum machine I have created some nice sequences to weave and intertwine the warm and gripping sounds of these amazing virtual analog instruments. The album travels forward in pace and energy as it goes on but stays mostly in the down tempo arena of 120 bpm. The non-complexity and steady melodic loops are the minimal element of the cd. Most of the tracks are modern reflections and meditations on acid house because of the ever present kick and modulated 303 type melodic bass lines coming from the virus. This collection of tone poems was generated out of a more subconscious intention than my previous album and offers a more relaxed and intuitive quality to the production. Ride and enjoy these liquid sound waves.
