They just can't stop rockin'!
I've loved all of D&Ts work and been a fan since the release of their first album. They never cease to amaze me and I've got all their albums on my iPod and listen to them constantly. This album has some great stuff that they had and were like, "Why haven't we released this?" And I'm glad they did. And I still can't listen to that last track without cracking up. Totally worth the listen.

D & T the Condensed Mix
This CD is a great deal. It gives you a little taste of all of the offerings that 3 instruments and some ingenious use of technology can be created by the now-cajun-trio.

From the funk of "Ambalance" that brings to mind a 70's theme title (think SHAFT or Charlie's Angels) to the flat out head banger "Rock The Mess" the D&T crew also manage to evoke an aural landscape (similar to some tracks in Vinyl Killer) in "The Short Giraffe" before dive-bombing back into the mix.
Basically if you're not sure of a Drums & Tuba album to buy, this CD can give you some insight into what sort of dastardly dervish this band is capable of creating.

Drums and Tuba-Gas Up, Blow Up
The new CD from D&T is great--a good mix of all their styles. From the more ambient, paced cuts from Vinyl Killer, to the aggressive tracks from Mostly Ape, it's all here. There's even a remix of Tony's answering machine message from Vinyl Killer that's actually quite good. This, along with the great, flowing, wash of an opening track, bookends the album nicely. Yet another strong release from D&T.

Good stuff!!! I was afraid that this would turn out like other leftovers albums. You know the saying: there's a reason the songs didn't make it on the album. This one is different. These songs deserve to be heard. The songs are mixed nicely giving it a real album feel. Do yourself a favor and see this band live!!!
