ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album is a labour of love, brought into fruition by three of Canada's most notable folk musicians. Nathan Rogers (son of Legendary Stan Rogers) brings immense vocal range and talent and a skillful writing style to the songs. Combine this with JD Edwards (The JD Edwards Band) and his powerful singing, instrumentalism and songwriting. Rounding out the trio is Leonard Podolak, multiple Juno Award winner, Grammy Award winner and Grammy nominee with the bands Scruj MacDuhk and The Duhks. The result has been described as a "force to be reckoned with" and "a musical troika that has everything folk music needs". Audiences have uniformly remarked that a Dry Bones show is like taking a journey through all the emotions of human experience. This album is very much the same. Some of the songs reflect a whimsy found only in old-time and ragtime music, others are very modern, with touches of angst, social criticism and malaise. Dry Bones has only existed as a band for less than two years but has already toured Western and Central Canada, Ontario and Australia.
