ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dying Regret is a San Diego based metal band formed in 2005. Dying Regret is Mike Rawluk on drums, Willie Powell and Ben Lazzaro on guitars, and Wayne Lichte on bass. The band recently finished the EP "The Price of Human Ruin" in January, which was just released June 2007. "The Price of Human Ruin" was produced, engineered and mixed by Fred Archambault. Mr. Archambault is known for his work with Avenged Sevenfold, 18 Visions, Death by Stereo, Deftones, and many more. Dying Regret's logo was designed by Mike D'Antonio of Killswitch Engage and DarkicoN design. Dying Regret also had their photography done by Hypozentrum.com in March 2007. The group has printed and distributed over 6,000 promotional discs to their fans in San Diego, areas of the United States, Japan, England and Australia.

The bands influences include Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Between the Buried and Me, God Forbid, Soilwork, Mastodon, DevilDriver, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Scarve, Mnemic and Bleed the Sky.

Dying Regret is currently playing live venues across southern California as well as a two week tour through parts of Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma. They have recently implemented a marketing plan consisting of radio commercials to increase the groups fan base and drive more hits to their web site, and the websites of sponsors and companies affiliated with Dying Regret.

The band was recently the featured artist on the "Bottle of Baca" show on nvasionradio.com and is currently played on San Diego's Rock 105.3 FM, as well as several Internet radio stations including Live 365, The Pound, The Metal Pit, Kingdomfall Radio and Rebel Extravaganza.

Dying Regret is sponsored by Halo Custom Guitars.

solid metal
Great "Boston" metal sound from a cali metal band. "Pieces Of Me" would be a metal classic if a big name band had wrote it. Keep it up guys, get a full legnth CD out there and hopefully you can break through and help a struggling music industry.

Got twenty minutes to spare for some "unrelenting orchestrated destruction with beautiful overtones of pain?" Sure you do. While the world continues to be helplessly saturated with metalcore bands that all claim to be poised and ready to rip your ears off with their unrelenting assault, few seem to actually be able to cut the mustard. This EP makes a strong case for why this San Diego five piece might be one of the groups worth paying attention to. Heavy on the riffs but not dependent on them, these songs are fast and slyly sophisticated, throwing in hits and breaks that add a real variation to the structure of the rhythms. The drums may be the real backbone here, cranking into double time with ease and almost toying with the other members, beckoning for them to catch up. The subject matter of the songs is typically dark, but the vocals are delivered with enough gusto and passion that they never seem forced or put on. I would normally say that it's too bad this is just an EP, but this format works as a great introduction to these guys, giving the listener a potent dose of the kind of metal this band has to offer.

Absolutely LOVE IT! Rocks!
The CD arrived last week and I had a long road trip coming up... threw the CD into the player and WOW! It rocks... every tune! I was jammin' on that highway :o)

I'm recommending it highly to my fellow rockers up here in the Great White North... Keep it up guys!

GREAT METAL CD!!!
This album will grab you with the first track and won't let go of your neck until the final second. Unfortunately the cd ends after only five tracks, but damn what a fine five tracks they are. If Dying Regret doesn't go far, i'll be damned!
