Album Notes
The Long Black Train was an original poem written a few years after the Rhode Island nightclub “The Station” burned down to flames during a rock concert in 2003.

Original Poem / lyrics written March 2005 by C.M.

The Long Black Train

There's a long black train headed for the station
And it's bringing a load of death and pain

The crowd of people stand
Mesmerized by the growing flame
For they do not know
The long black train,
Is on the way...

Thick black smoke
Coming from the station
Against white snow..
red and yellow flame

A crowd of people wait
For the their ride to the promise land
For the long black train
With all it's death and pain has arrived....

All aboard!

The long black train
Is pulling from the station
And it carries the load
Of a hundred souls

The crowd of people wave
As they watch it roll away
The long black train
The long black train
Has come and gone…
