Emmy Award winning composer/pianist Earl Rose is one of the most versatile and prolific composers in film and television today. He is an Emmy Award winner and has received 14 Emmy nominations as well as three ASCAP Awards for being among the top five most performed composers in television. Among his compositions which have crossed over into major pop recording successes are the multi-platinum selling recording Every Beat of My Heart, co-written and recorded by Brian McKnight, and his Emmy winning song collaboration with Olivia Newton-John and Victoria Shaw, Love Is A Gift, which appears on both Olivia Newton-John’s quadruple platinum “live” recording, Highlights from The Main Event, as well as her studio album, Back With A Heart.
Earl's original jazz piano music can be heard in the feature film White Oleander. Other film credits include the MGM/UA release Mad Dog Time, music in About Schmidt, and the song arrangements for Object of My Affection. Recent TV scores include Inventing L.A.:The Chandlers And Their Times, HBO Hard Times For An American Girl:The Great Depression, and Stardust:The Bette Davis Story.
Earl arranged and performed on several tracks (Elvis Costello and Jon Stewart) for the 2010 Grammy winning CD and television special, A Colbert Christmas:The Greatest Gift Of All.
