ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Earl Thomas grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of eastern Tennessee and was a fan of British rock. Paddy Milner was born in Scotland and loved American blues. They would meet for the first time on the Caribbean leg of the prestigious Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise and at a late-night jam session find a quick rapport and musical bond.

The CD was recorded live in two sessions in London at Fish Factory Studios. The goal was to capture a collaborative spirit and live energy but in the process that collaboration energized and inspired the musicians and each of the artists and the joy behind their creations is evident. “We all agree that we want to be the band that leads in Blues evolution,” Thomas said. “Instead of going back over old ground, we want to break new ground and create the blues that is contemporary but representative of, not only of the cultural exchange that created the art form, but of the cultural exchange creating the art form today. With an evident respect for tradition ours is a story about moving the music forward."
