On the heels of the success of the 9/11 tribute Spirit of America, Eddie was approached by Charleston, S.C.’s local police who asked if he would write a song for police officers. Eddie was then invited to perform his tribute to fallen officers, The Thin Blue Line, at the 22nd Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Services in Washington, D.C. in front of President Bush and 30,000 police officers.
Eddie said, “I was truly honored to play the national memorial for so many families of fallen officers, and their comrades. It was one of the proudest moments of my career.”
...If anything ever happens
Just be proud of me
I give my best every time
I walk the Thin Blue Line
