Album Notes for Digital CD – “Bring the Love Back Home”
This project represents a new kind of fusion; Gospel/Soul/Message/Rhythm. True Gospel music is the source of "Soul" and Funk." Remember, Soul, Funk, R&B, or whatever else you may call it, was all influenced and inspired by, as well as copied from, music of the traditional American Black church. The music began with the slave songs, evolved into blues, and after its Spiritual evolution, became known as Gospel music. From Gospel emerged Rhythm & Blues. Once the connection between Blues, Gospel and Rhythm & Blues is understood, then, the profound effect they all have on each other will be revealed. Today’s experiments seem to be forcing ‘fusion’ to become “con-fusion.” It is becoming more difficult to distinguish one style of music from another. It may be helpful to note this important point of distinction between Gospel and other styles of music. The key question to ask one’s self is, “beyond the sound of the rhythm, does the lyrical content have anything to say that will motivate or initiate change in spiritual life-style? Does the content promote or encourage self- improvement?” The answer to these questions directly relate to the distinctive characteristic of real Gospel music, which also happens to be its true essence. That essence of Gospel music is the message within.

This production is deliberately engineered to express creativity, rhythm and inspiration, all of which are meant to cause a positive and lasting effect on the listener. More than an impressive sound, the objective of this project is to provide a positive experience that will affect the life of the listener in a positive way. ...listen and enjoy!

You really did it this time. You always have a message in your songs, but this one is the best. It's a good mix of contemporary and traditional. (I am partial to triditional) I tried to select a favoriate, and I couldn't select one, I would have to say tract 3,4,5,6, are top of the line for ministering to my spirit. Congratulations my brother, how excellent.

This is just what we need in times like these. Love. We need to bring the love back home and Eddie GM and you can feel it in this song. Families need love, our soldiers need to feel our love. We need to bring the love back home. Thanks Eddie GM. The 'GM' should stand for God's Man, Global Man & Gospel Man. You are Awesome!
