Album Notes
When's the last time you heard a Samba in church? This is not your ordinary brand of contemporary Christian Music! Eileen Howard, an accomplished jazz artist and award winning singer, has released her first album of original tunes.

As Minister of Music for the highly diverse inner city United Methodist Church for All People, Eileen has worked for the past seven years creating an equally diverse music program that draws from all genres.

At times she struggled to find music that actually conveyed the radical message of Jesus to love one another, serve the last the least and the lost, to give to all who ask and to turn the other cheek. She also felt a little in need of nourishment after a diet of contemporary Christian music that endlessly celebrates loving and being loved by Jesus, but without communicating the actual teachings of Jesus or deepening the level of discipleship.

These songs are her response.

All profits from this CD go to Harmony on the Southside, a community music program of concerts, music lessons and performing opportunities led by Eileen. (www.southsideharmony.com)
