This cd available on cd baby is a composite of selected songs from his cd “Monsters” funded in part by Peninsula Arts Association and Wisconsin Arts Board when Eli was 20 and several songs recorded independently 4 years ago. Eli is working on a new release at this time, all original material.
Currently Eli Mattson is entering the international music scene as an independent performer playing solo with the Grand Piano and sometimes with his band. Eli is the Cellcom Spokesperson for 2009 in Wisconsin and appears in their television and radio spots. Eli Mattson traverses the country singing his heart out to wherever fans are calling his name.
Eli Mattson started piano lessons at age five but since the age of two was always sitting at the ivory keys making music. He wrote his first instrumental piece at the age of eleven three song demo when he was 19, he received a Peninsula Arts Association/Wisconsin Arts Board grant to make a full cd of original music. The cd was called “Monsters”, and he quickly sold out the first printing. Since then he has traveled around the country performing solo in piano bars and spent the better part of one year on the road with a country band that honed his performance skills and taught him the rules of the road. Five years of solo city gigs including weekly performances at Davenports and other piano bars in Chicago brought him back to Door County for several summers to play outside venues. Passersby literally stopped dead in their tracks when they heard his voice. His fan base was built when people discovered him by chance, and became loyal followers all the way thru the America’s Got Talent Competition. Eli’s thousands of fans continue to support him, some traveling from Europe to catch his performances in the U.S.
