Child’s Play- The music is designed to create a deep sense of love, relaxation and joy while listening this album, Child’s Play. This music may also relax your child’s heart rate and stimulate their cognitive functioning without over stimulating the nervous system.
“When I first played the ‘Child’s Play’ CD to my 8yo twin autistic sons they were instantly mesmorised by the Dreamtime track. It didn’t take long for them to be calmed, settling for bed time. They love the CD so much they make regular requests for me to play it.
The CD has helped them with their sleep routine which has been a constant struggle since birth. As a parent, I also find the CD to be both relaxing and calming and enjoy listening to it as I lay next to my sons while they go to sleep. I highly recommend Elio’s ‘Child’s Play’ CD.”
“Child’s Play is the work of Elio, an Adelaide-based composer who is skilled in creating meditative, holistic music. This music is not showy or attention seeking; rather, like a wonderful fragrance it permeates the space, filling it with a glowing, magical abundance.
Slow-moving harmonies and a rocking pulse, help create a relaxing atmosphere – perfect for quiet play, soothing and sleeping. Many instrumental colours are used in Elio’s music, introducing the young listener to a range of instruments and sounds. Woven through the peaceful harmonies are moments of playfulness and joy, which cleverly add depth to the music and inspire youthful imagination. Age Group: Great for babies and young children.

“I love Elio’s music! For me, listening to it evokes an other-worldly, dream-like feeling.I actually considered the idea that writing more than those two sentences for this review seemed somewhat moot because there are no words that do justice to what I felt when I listened for the first time; but, of course, this is a review column so I will try my best!I should start by saying that I enjoy all kinds of music and all of them affect me deeply. However, the pure beauty of the musical composition of Elio’s music is very special. According to the descriptions of the various CDs on the website, he writes music to heal (physically and emotionally) as well as entertain, empower and inspire. While listening to “Child’s Play” I was easily able to imagine this music relaxing and soothing children all across the world. I experienced physical and emotional joy. I felt comforted. I felt connected to something greater than myself. I felt empowered. I felt safe. And I felt love – an encompassing, powerful experience of the love of God. Here is what Elio’s site says about the album:Child’s Play – Your child will feel a deep sense of love, relaxation and joy while listening to this classical album, ”Child’s Play”. This music will relax and lower your child’s heart rate stimulating their cognitive functioning without over stimulating the nervous system. This music has been written in collaboration Julia Barac, a Holistic Therapist (Kinesiologist/Homeopath/Energy Medicine Practitioner).I also had the pleasure of listening to samples of a few of his other CDs. Each sample was as lovely as the next and they all evoked various physical and emotional sensations. At one point during the sample of the “Pearls of Peace” song I felt like there was suddenly a harp ATTACHED to my heart and each note, each beat, each nuance of the music was plucking directly at the strings of my heart. I don’t mean this lightly. I mean I felt, for a moment, like if I had put my hand to my chest I would have felt the plucking through my skin. Have you ever had that experience? It was amazing. Only later when I read the synopsis of the song did I realize that it was intended to affect the heart. Here is what the site says about the album:PEARLS OF PEACE is a beguiling musical voyage that empowers the listener on a deep emotional level. These enriching harmonies will lead you to that pearl of peace resting within your heart, and help you to develop awareness and a sense of connectedness between your mind, body and spirit.
With each song I felt moved beyond words, moved to tears, healed, whole, energized, calmed, and happy – but I guess that is really the point isn’t it? To feel the music, to feel it working within you, to feel a part of something greater than yourself? This music does those things and more! Wonderful job, Elio!
