Album Notes
ELVENPATH was founded in the winter of 01/02. In the area of Frankfurt/Germany there were hardly any bands dedicated to 80s style Power Metal - something which clearly had to be changed. With plenty of shows and several releases ELVENPATH gained themselves a reputation as an outstanding newcomer, an excellent live act and one of the hopes of the young German Metal scene. Numerous good reviews tell what gem was developing in the underground.
In their five years so far ELVENPATH released three CD\'s themselves, they contributed to several compilations and played more than 40 concerts, among others sharing the stage with bands like Sabaton,Majesty, Wizard, Accu§er and Sacred Sin. The peak of their career so far certainly was a European tour as support for Skyclad in April 2006. This tour marked ELVENPATH\'s first shows abroad and gained them a good deal of new fans.

\"Spyrol\" is the third release of these German hopefuls and their first proper full length album. Any fan of traditional Metal will freak out on this, especially if he\'s quality conscious.

If you're one of those obsessive power metal fans who has a hard time surviving between Helloween and Maiden releases, it's time to branch out. Start with this, the full-length debut from this Frankfurt band who, while certain to floor you with the sheer force and speed of their riffs, don't skimp on solid structures and strong melodies. "Angel of Fire" is a perfect example, a song that warms up with some hammering drum and guitar trade-offs in the opening, before expanding into a full-on machine gun screamer. The vocals stomp through with both push and purpose, matching the guitar squealing and laying down melodies that drive the song even harder. "Northern Son" proves they're also capable of slowing it down, while still maintaining the intricacies of the guitar leads and the haunting prowess of the vocals. If you're a fan of German power metal, get ready to fly the burning skies.
