Album Notes
Emerald Rose is a high energy Celtic folk rock band that blends harmony vocals, pennywhistle, world percussion and driving guitars and bass. Their music ranges from traditional jigs and reels to original folk rock and pop songs. Emerald Rose successfully draws from Celtic myth and legend to create a unique and accessible sound. As a group of full-time musicians, Emerald Rose is frequently touring in support of their CD catalog, including their latest "Fire in the Head-Emerald Rose Live."
With their self-title debut CD in 1998, Emerald Rose began a tradition of including a variety of songs and musical styles on their CDs ranging from traditional Celtic to hard-driving original folk rock to melodious ballads. Their critically acclaimed and aptly named "Bending Tradition" CD was released in 2000 and contains the mp3.com Spiritual Pop Chart sensation, "Freya Shakti."
Emerald Rose has performed at a variety of venues and events including: The Atlanta Montreaux Music Festival, Roswell's "Concert on the Square," Dragon*Con (the largest science fiction convention in the Southeast), Atlanta Celtic Festival, Eddie's Attic, Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, New College in Sarasota, and I*Con in New York City. This is the most entergetic celtic / pagan CD i have ever heard it is awesome thay need to come out with more songs .

Amazing, upbeat Pagan and Earth-friendly music!!!
If you have been looking for some music that has Earth-friendly and/or Pagan themes and have been disappointed at the quality of what's out there; look no further. Not a bad song on here! I had heard about this group as the song "Freya Shakti" was getting rave reviews online (and now I see why!) Very cool folk rock kinda sound and great vocals...hope to hear more from them...

Celtic, Pagan, and Modern!
I'm not big into Celtic music, or anything in a foreign language, which is why I like this CD so much. It's Celtic, but I can get into the lyrics and sing along... especialy to "Pagan Girl", which I am. The "Freya Shakti" chant is also a must have. It's awsome to hear men singing about the Goddess! Men need the Goddess too!

Company was very prompt in sending out CD and I have really enjoyed listening to it. Would buy from this company again.

keltickitten from Belgium

I found this band trough the Irish and Celtic music podcast and was completely in the mood by the song "Come to the Dance". Being a fan of celtic music in every form of it, also celtic rock, and being more of a pagan, I immediatly liked it and searched for more. I do not regret buying the album.

Bending Tradition
I recently purchased Bending Tradition and Songs for the Night Sky by Emerald Rose. I have been searching for some good pagan/celtic artists and this group is it! Love their music, great job! You won't be disappointed....great cd's.

Talison be proud
I've been following the fellows for years, and they have some of the best Celtin/Pagan tune around. The Bards would be proud. Blessed Be.

Awesome and Fun Pagan Music
Emerald Rose is an uplifting wonderful band. They are fun and serious all at the same time. I love that they all play their own instruments and don't use synths. Don't get me wrong I like synths sometimes but to be able to hear real music is wonderful. This is my favorite Celtic band anywhere!!! I came upon them in my fairy music and read the article and thought they sound interesting and when I listened to them I just had to start my collection. I highly recommend Emerald Rose for anyone's Celtic Pagan collection.
