Album Notes
Emerald Rose is a high energy Celtic folk rock band that blends harmony vocals, pennywhistle, world percussion and driving guitars and bass. Their music ranges from traditional jigs and reels to original folk rock and pop songs. Emerald Rose successfully draws from Celtic myth and legend to create a unique and accessible sound. As a group of full-time musicians, Emerald Rose is frequently touring in support of their CD catalog, including their latest "Fire in the Head-Emerald Rose Live."

With their self-title debut CD in 1998, Emerald Rose began a tradition of including a variety of songs and musical styles on their CDs ranging from traditional Celtic to hard-driving original folk rock to melodious ballads. Their critically acclaimed and aptly named "Bending Tradition" CD was released in 2000 and contains the mp3.com Spiritual Pop Chart sensation, "Freya Shakti."

Emerald Rose has performed at a variety of venues and events including: The Atlanta Montreaux Music Festival, Roswell's "Concert on the Square," Dragon*Con (the largest science fiction convention in the Southeast), Atlanta Celtic Festival, Eddie's Attic, Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, New College in Sarasota, and I*Con in New York City. The band has also played for audiences across the Southeast in various concert halls and pubs in Georgia, Alabama and Florida as well as the New York/New Jersey area.

Emerald Rose is:
Brian (Logan) Sullivan - vocals, guitar, bouzouki
Arthur Hinds - vocals, guitar, bodhran
Larry Morris - vocals, pennywhistle, percussion
Clyde Gilbert - vocals, bass, percussion

This is the CD that really captures the essence of the band; not a wasted moment from beginning to end, and it makes you dance :)

Emerald Rose is everything good in the world of Pagans and beyond. Their music touches the hearts of Pagans and Mundane humans alike. May both the God & Goddess continue to bless and keep them in their care.

Keep up the wonderful work guys!

kick ass!
This is a kick ass cd!!! I bought it after riding in my sister's car with her and hearing it. Now as money allows I am going to buy the rest of their cd's available. just really rockin happy sing along type of music. HINT: Emerald Rose should book a gig at the tractor tavern in Ballard, Washington, so we could come and hear them live. ;-)

I will admit I bought this CD primarily for 'Chicken Raid of Cymru', which may be one of the most hysterical songs I've ever heard. The more serious songs are well-played and rocking.
