ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Call them gypsy steamfunk, call them avant world fusion, call them experiemental big band, call them circus noise! They may be tough to sum up, but it’s easy to tell you they’ll show you a good time! Formed from the most talented deadbeats and drifters that could be rounded up, this group of raucous and rambunctious musicians will honk, wail, blow, beat, bounce, scream and serenade their way into your hearts. Playing anything that won’t break from vigiourous use, their instrumentation is a unique blend of brass, winds, violin, accordion and an eccelctic rhtyhm section.

The Legend of Emperor Norton
Before passing from this plane in 1880, Emperor Norton, I, revealed to his followers that he was no ordinary mortal man, but instead a manifestation of the absurd and unusual forces of the universe. He offered them the chance to follow him on his crusade to unsettle and disturb that which had become bland and banal. A grand parade ensued and continues on through time and space, bringing in its wake a glorious commotion that encourages all to join in the jubilation and make of this world what they will.

We are the progeny of this bizarre cavalcade. We dance at the edge of reason, sing the song of society's fringe and drum out whatever din you are called to march to. Emperor Norton is not dead; he is waiting to be awakened in each of us.

Simply Amazing
Totally worth giving five starts to this album. I saw these guys live at Steam Punk Worlds Fair, and they put on a continuous show all weekend. Including out front of the hotel at one in the morning. If you like soothing but upbeat stuff, check these guys (and gals) out. It won't be a waste of time, or money.
