Album Notes
All single tracks available for download at iTunes.com

Lloyd English and Sia Samimi have developed a sound that is truly new and truly original. Sia has brought a rich and delightful Persian musical legacy through his guitar. Lloyd has developed as an improvisational player in every genre from Rock to Jazz over 30 years of professional performing. When these two nylon string guitars meet it is not only beautiful to listen to but a cultural experience for the ears as well.

Listening to these two guitar voices from two different sides of the world converse with each other using musical languages of Persia, Latin, Jazz and Blues is truly a wonder. Each of the pieces leads you to a different place far away, warm breezes, dancing in the streets, inner solitudes and endless vistas all surrounded by something beautiful.

The Persian Suite at the close of the album is truly an unforgettable listening experience, beginning with the two guitars in a dialogue and being joined by the violin in a delightful arrangement of a Middle Eastern folk song and then ending with a triumphant journey into a world that only this album can take you to.

The opening piece is called Jubilation and it is really what you come away with after listening to English and Samimi, a sense that new and wonderful things really do happen when cultures and ideas listen to each other.
