ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Son, don’t worry, when your ego gets too big, it will explode: problem solved"

Wouter Buyst (aka E-t-P for friends) is a young boy with a mind of his own. His debut album 'We Could Wake Each Other Up' should have been released all over the world at this point in time, but a fire in his recording studio decided to wipe away that dream.

Suddenly there was nothing left: no computer, no four-track, no instruments. Only thing that was left, was a thick layer of soot. And - surprisingly: a little usb stick. And even a bigger surprise was the fact that this usb stick contained the basic recording tracks. Local musicians donated instruments to E-t-P, but Wouter decided he wanted to clear his head first. He started travelling around the world.

On one of those trips, he bumped into Leonard Cohen. They started talking. ‘Son, don’t worry, when your ego gets too big, it will explode: problem solved’. Keeping these words in mind, Equinox, the Peacekeeper re-started recording his songs. While living in Belgium and Colombia he finished 13 songs. We Could Have Wake Each Other Up closes off a hectic period with a lot of negative feelings, but with positive vibe as well. E-t-P already had the privilege to play his tunes live around Europe, South America and in sunny California.

"Beautiful and more interesting than the recent records of Jack Johnson. To discover!" --Rif Raf
"Buyst combines elements of folk and country rock to write melancholic songs with an attitude." -- Knack Focus

Early 2013 Bird Song On The Wasteland will be the follow up album of his highly recommended debut!
