Album Notes
Raga Bye Baby is a unique, beautiful music album for babies, offering the sweet sound of the Bansuri flute and other Indian instruments. Recorded in India and New York and featuring performances by outstanding musicians, this album is an innovative blend of music and culture. Raga Bye Baby will satisfy babies and adults too; it's perfect for yoga, parent relaxation, and quiet time with the baby.

The melodic legacy of Indian classical music is based on raga, which in Sanskrit means "that which colors the mind." There are hundreds of ragas, each conveying its own mood and feeling. Exposure to raga as a baby, because of it's intricate melody, can assist in profound brain development and overall intelligence.

About the Bansuri Flute-
The bansuri flute is a 7 hole bamboo flute from India. It has a unique sound and is capable of producing bends and slides (unlike the Western steel flute). The bansuri is a legendary instrument, and it's sound is dreamy and transporting.

About Eric Fraser, Bansuri flute
Based in Brooklyn, Eric is a performing musician and often travels to India for immersion with the bansuri. He is also a music therapist and works regularly with children.

A note from Eric-
"Raga Bye Baby is my gift to the children of the world and parents who love yoga, meditation, or just good acoustic music. May this music promote peace and good rest! I love this music so much that I believe babies and young children will remember this album when they grow up!"
