Album Notes
Based on a true story, Eric wrote this song as a project for a song writing class he was taking in Knoxville, Tennessee. When he finished presenting the song, there was complete and utter silence as the class contemplated the words and sounds they had just heard. With this song, Eric departs from his usual style of inspirational lyrics to a more appropriate country style to express his frustration with the emotional violence that rocked the family of some people he held dear.

Wanting to get the message out about the importance of fidelity in marriage, the author recorded an amateur version of this song and had it on his own website for a couple years. People responded by saying this is a song every married man and woman needs to hear before they drift into the arms of someone else. Hearing these words was all the encouragement Eric needed to go back to the studio for a professional recording of "Was It Worth It".
