Album Notes
Sero Sed Serio ("Late but in earnest"), the Kerr family motto from the old country, is a collection of songs culled from a span of ten years. Some were written to complement the chosen texts of preachers, some to be sung by the gathered church, others as an alternative to therapy, still others were penned to reflect the soul of a struggler stumbling forward in faith - intent on becoming like Jesus. Recording began in November of 2006 but suffered a major stroke of misfortune, and then languished near death in a musically induced coma until December of 2011. At that time, only days after those who follow the Julian calendar redecorated our discarded tree, we witnessed the project's wondrous recovery and mysterious new birth - a Christmas miracle, late but in earnest.
