These 10 songs were composed and recorded while my wife suffered from dementia. The songs are about her, about me and our struggle to cope with the fact that she was slowly disappearing. The songs were recorded and produced by Maarten Buning and Tomas Delfgaauw with the help of many professional musicians: Maarten Buning (guitar and keyboard), Tomas Delfgaauw (saxophone and keyboard), Maarten Hemmen (drums), Erik Rademakers (bass), Robert Beld (backing vocals), Frank Wolff (guitar on 'Today will be fine'), Brendan Walsh (cello). The mastering was done by Alex Geurink.
Based on my experience, I developed a short gig for people who are or were in a similar situation as I was, and for people working in the care sector. Through short stories and songs I give the audience a glimpse into my life. This is all in Dutch. The (Dutch) songs that I composed for this gig will shortly be recorded and appear on a separate CD.
