EVIL BEAVER BIO
Bass and drum, rock duo, Evil Beaver was founded in Chicago in 1999 by front woman Evie Evil.
In 2000 Evil Beaver released the debut CD "Lick It". Lick It was followed by "Pleased To Eat You" in 2003. Both titles were recorded and mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Dave Trumfio (Billy Bragg and Wilco, and The Breeders), and released by Johann's Face Records.
In March of 2006, "Models of Virtue"; featuring Evie Evil & Gene "Honey B" Trautmann (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age, Desert Sessions), was released by EBONA/ E. Lago Entertainment Group. "Models of Virtue" was recorded in Los Angeles by engineer Mike Terry (Foo Fighters, The Eagles), and produced by Evie Evil.
The new release, "In The Spirit Of Resilient Optimism", is a 6 song E.P.; featuring Evie Evil & Jonny Beav' (7 Red 7, Venom Lords). "I.T.S.O.R.O.", was produced by Andy Gerber (Cheap Trick, Smoking Popes) and Evie Evil at Million Yen Studios in Chicago, IL. "I.T.S.O.R.O." was released by EBONA/ E. Lago Entertainment Group in January 2007.
Evil Beaver has shared the stage with over one thousand bands including; 400 Blows, Bellrays, Chevelle, Faster Pussycat, FuManchu, The Gossip, Imperial Teen, Lightning Bolt, Millionaire, Nina Hagen, The Makers, Peg Boy, Rasputina, Shellac, The White Stripes.
As electric lead bassist, vocalist, and founder of Evil Beaver, Evie Evil began performing at five years old. With Evil Beaver, Evie has performed over a thousand live shows in over two hundred cities around the world.
Evie divides her time between her home in Chicago, and her work in Los Angeles & New York City.
Rock drummer, Jonny Beav' joined Evil Beaver in 2005. Since then, has performed over 100 shows with Evil Beaver in the U.S.A. and in Europe.
Jonny is featured drummer on the new release, "I.T.S.O.R.O." E.P., and on the upcoming release, "2 Live in Burn", recorded live in Berne, Switzerland.
Jonny lives in Chicago and tours with Evil Beaver fulltime.
