Album Notes
This single introduces new aspects to the musical development of Ewald's music. In both songs the brass plays an important role yet the two songs differ very much.

"The Girl with the Flaxen Hair" is a ballad-like mellow mooded song that cumulates in a dramatic final.
The song was loosely inspired by the classical composition "La Fille aux cheveux de lin", written by Claude Debussy at the beginning of the 20th century.

"Raw Nature" is a latin like, upbeat song that reminds of the music of Sergio Mendez and the vocoder vocal line brings memories to the herbie Hancocks songs from the early 80's.
