ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Love Hate n' Marriage is Existance of Western Medicine's second full length solo album, his first in about five years. He began working on the project shortly after getting married and experiencing life from the working class family man's perspective. He uses the concept of marriage as a metophor for the struggle to achieve balance in the off kilter world of polarized forces we live in. He produced the majority of the project himself but had some help from his homies at the Darkside Studios in Portland, Oregon. Co Western Medicine member Jeff James put in much work on the project along with other features from Kwyet One of Western Medicine, Drew Slum, M@Lrg, Sandstone, Kid Mush, Mosaic, Fidel Maestro, Josh Uithof and Travis Champ. The album's honest and empowering writing spoken through Existance's unique voice and skillful rapping, combined with west coastal hard hitting rain forest instrumentals makes for a thought provoking and head nodding listen.
Bio:
Emcee/Producer Existance has been rapping and making hip hop music for well over a decade. As an emcee he can put it down with skill off the top of the head, on paper, in the booth and on stage. He approaches music with the idea of constant progression and evolution. X was Born and raised in Manzanita, Oregon, a small coastal village just over the hill and off the grid from where he currently dwells. Now Representing in the Thorn City, otherwise known as Portland, Oregon Existance and his long time crew "Western Medicine" are looking to take the underground hip hop community by storm. Existance and his fellow crew members io "aka Jeff James" and Kwyet One performed at many different venues across the Pacific Northwest, sharing the stage with the likes of 2mex, Life Rexall, Existereo, Labtekwon, Drunken Immortals, Pickster One, Smoke of Oldominion, Saints of Everyday Failures, DJ Void, Fogatron and Drew Slum to name a few. Although there have been many turns, shifts, fools falling off, and transitions on their road through the madness, they have emerged as Western Medicine. This crew/family is on the grind and always focusing on expanding their: art, minds, bodies, vocabularies, diaphrams, wallets, and of course their inner and outer universes.
