a good example of how metal should sound in this new millennium
FEAR 44 is a very talented band from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Their music could be captured under the monnicker metal. FEAR 44 consists of two ladies and two male members. They are Mark Wenger on vocals, Chris Amos on bass, Angie Cioka on drums and Rita Weidinger on guitar. The ten songs on this debut album give you a good example of how metal should sound like in this new millennium. Lots of screams, low and high, galloping beats and repeating riffs. The band has already shared the stage with the likes of KITTIE, OTEP and CRISIS and I think, that if you are into these aforementioned bands, you’ll definitely dig the sound of FEAR 44. Add to this a bit of SLAYER and MACHINE HEAD and you’ll come close to what FEAR 44 is all about. After the last song “The End” has faded, just play the fast forward button for a hidden track. “The End” is also my favorite track on the CD, by the way. But I am sure that everybody has his own ideas about this, so grab your own copy and crank it up real loud!

buy this cd...
From beginning to end this cd has something for everyone from heavy metal to hard rock from screams to melodies. It's a terrific mixture to keep everyones ears glued to there speakers. My personal picks as hard as it is to pick my favorites cuz i love them all, Factory Defect, Not Right,Shallow are definite pit songs. However On My Own shows the more melodic side of the lyrics and music... Been Here Before , Bloody Nightmare, The Way, Guinea Pig, Secret and The End help to put the perfect blend to this cd.I will end with saying it has been a long time since i have seen a band like this come along with such force they will be in your ears for a long time so look out for them . Dont forget to pick up Factory Defect. Thanks for the great music Mark Rita Chris Angie you all rule.
