Most people spend their lives trying to reprogram some of the negatives that they learned before they were old enough to know any different. Why not start when they are young by programming in positive affirmations. These affirmations are for younger children ages 3-9 years old, but many 2-year-olds repeat them aloud and even teenagers and adults report that they give them something to think about. This 7-minute track is full of simple, yet powerful affirmations that will help your child feel more confident and resourceful.
Here are some examples:
I take care of my body by eating yummy, healthy foods.
I am sweet and kind.
I always remember to say please and thank you.
Whenever I eat, I always remember to use my good manners.
There are no bad kids, only bad behavior. I am a good kid, and I choose to have good behavior.
I listen carefully and ask questions when I don't understand.
I am smart.
I am helpful.
I use my words when I am sad or mad.
I can be smart and still ask for help.
The mental law is that what we think about most becomes our reality, so repetition is our friend. Play them in the car on the way to school, at home during play time, or as part of the going to bed playlist. Even if your child doesn't repeat them out lout, their unconscious mind is always listening and hearing. I recommend repeating as often as possible for a full 40 days. 40 is the magic number of change. If your child can write, they may enjoy writing some of their favorite affirmations in their own handwriting.
If your child does not respond at first, or if they have a negative reaction to the affirmations, you can repeat them out loud to your child in the second person ("You are a good kid. You are smart, etc.") for forty days. Sometimes that is what needs to happen first.
If you or your child think of more affirmations, feel free to send them to Tree of Life Hypnosis and we'll add them to future affirmation singles. I welcome reviews and feedback.
