ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
REVIEWS ABOUT NANCY FIERRO

“Nancy Fierro is a real pianistic talent. Her playing is indeed most musical, well articulated—the form coming to light quite naturally. Her deep understanding penetrates all the implications of the works she performs.” Nadia Boulanger, France

“The debut of the album (Riches and Rags) was very successful because of the combination of valuable artistry and educational aspects. (All the music on this disc) has found extraordinary interpretation from Nancy Fierro. This is an artist endowed with temperament, exhibiting good technical ease and knowledge of styles.”
Ruch Muzyczny, Poland

“Soloist Nancy Fierro performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 in C minor with a delicate balance of passion and strength. She gave the concerto a scale that belied her size, yet was perfectly proportioned and elegantly conceived. The pianist illuminated the work with interpretive insights and evoked a sustained intensity.” Ventura Star Free Press

“Nancy Fierro was splendid—both at the piano and as the narrator for the program. She has a wonderful presence on the stage and an amazing rapport with an audience.”
Sheila Shea, Executive Director Franciscan Theater and Conference Center, Ohio

“Nancy Fierro played the diverse program of women’s music with consistent aptness, both technically and interpretively. She deserves much praise not only for her playing, but for reviving these justly neglected works.”
Los Angeles Times

Superb!
Amazing musicianship, and a rich assortment of rarely-heard music. Equally at home in classical and ragtime styles. A delight!

Spirited Pianist
I was one of the lucky people to obtain this album when it was first released. She demonstrates her great love for music and piano; her focus and dedication to each piece and its composer makes her performance very exciting and moving. If you love the sound of piano, this is a must have album.
