Album Notes
FILIPPO TERNI is an Italian composer and pianist. He was born in Ferrara where he grew up both in a cultural as well as professional and artistic sense. He studied at the "G. Frescobaldi" Conservatory of Ferrara with Rina Cellini, before, and Adriano Cirillo, after. His artistic activity has always been quite intense. He won two iternational piano contests in 1998 and 2003, and the "S. Pertini" research grant, in 2006. He also partecipated in the "Beethoven Piano Sonatas" masterclass held by Andrea Lucchesini, with high regard for his technique. During his career he has performed several concerts in Italy and abroad, piano duo concerts, and concerts with orchestras all of which have been successful both among the public and the critics. In 2009 and 2010, he played the opening concert for the International Choral Competition "C.A. Seghizzi" (Gorizia) and he played for the "Ravenna Festival" foundation (Ravenna). In 2010, he recorded a piano solo album (Mozart, Schubert, Debussy) for the Montefeltro Music Publishing.
