Album Notes
Finless Brown is a six-piece live hip-hop band based in Cleveland, OH by way of Japan, Peru, Dayton, Burton, and Cleveland. The members of Finless Brown are from various musical backgrounds including classical, rock, jam, hip-hop, soul, and drum n bass. Finless Brown has found a unique way to call upon these influences to formulate a fun and innovative sound. Fronted by the husband and wife duo of Paulie Rhyme and bilingual singer/emcee Ms. Moto, Finless Brown promotes having a good time, thinking a little, and stepping outside of the box when making music.

Finless Brown plays regularly in the Northeast Ohio area and prides itself on the ability to rock any type of crowd. On the local level, Finless Brown has played with not only traditional hip hop acts, but with jam bands, electronic bands, trip hop bands, and even punk rock acts. This is a testament to the truly original, good music approach that the band takes to its' songwriting process, experimenting with every facet of sound to go beyond conventional boundaries to create something that is nothing short of inclusive. On a national level, Finless Brown has had the pleasure of playing with Non Phixon, the Beatnuts, Heiruspecs, Poets of Another Breed, Grand Buffet, Whirlwind Heat, and Killarmy of the Wu Tang Clan, while being humbly compared to the Roots, Dee Lite, Portishead, and the Beastie Boys.

As a result, Finless Brown was nominated for Best Local Band at in 2003, finishing second. Finless Brown has also been featured in the Cleveland Scene magazine, and was filmed for the Crooked River Groove band series at Cuyahoga Community College (and will be on the Crooked River compilation in the Fall of 2003). Now with the scheduled release of their first project, the Browntown Ep, features on various regional compilations, and up coming collaborations with Dj Lord Jazz of the Lords of the Underground, 4th Disciple (producer featured on the Wu Tang Forever double album, as well as Killarmy, Killah Priest, and Sunz of Man projects), and Shadow Records' house/drum n bass producer Hanna, Finless Brown is bringing the music of the people, to the people.
