Album Notes
This first release from the Northwest rock trio Floater sets the pace for what would soon become an impressive line of great recordings.

Floater, featuring Robert Wynia (lead vocals, bass), Peter Cornett (drums, backing vocals), and Dave Amador (guitar), united in Eugene, Oregon to put together their own special blend of pulsing tribal beats and catchy melodic vocals to create this, their first full length release.

"Sink" is a concept album that seamlessly and theatrically moves through its storyline using a massive variety of sounds from somber strings, blistering guitar, piano, atmospheric drones and even a bass guitar played with a screwdriver. And all the while layered with hypnotic, powerful and melodic vocals. This was to define Floater's signature sound for future recordings.

Recorded in Eugene, Oregon with select tracks mixed in Portland by Drew Canulette (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mudhoney), Floaters' "Sink" would soon find it's way to college radio and send the band on their first tour of the US. "Sink" was nominated to the preliminary level of the Grammy Awards for Best New Album.

Since I herd this CD, Floater is now my favorite band. The people who don't like it can go to HELL!!!

Top album
I can't stop listening to this one. I always have the volume up. Like Faith said, buy the others too. These guys will blow your mind.

I am now angry
Buying this album made me quite bitter that I have gone so long without knowing this band. Where the frig have I been? The song 'Snowblind' is one of my favorites ever. And 'Weary' rules quite a little bit. I have yet to be familiar with all the songs because I bought all of Floater's albums and put them all on my iPod, so I've been shuffling through in no particular order. Do yourself a favor, get them all.

(Now Floater, please will you come and play a show in the Bay Area? Don't make me drive to Chico.)

Buy this album! Then buy Glyph...and Angels...and... you get the picture.

I had sink, and glyph stolen from me about 4 years ago. I found the package that was sent from you guys from 5 years ago. So the next day I ordered these sick albums. This is the best christmas present I'll get, and I bought for myself. Thanks to all

This CD goes in a lot of directions, but in a lot of places the bass guitar work reminds me of Les Claypool's work in Primus. VERY nice start for my new favorite band. Floater just ROCKS......GET THIS DISC!!!

Fuck anyone who does not like this band. Just like some guy said, "Go to HELL MUTHAFUCKA!!!!
