by Floater

Melodic, acoustic rock with beautifully written songs and strong male vocals. The popular Northwest trio supplements its usual fare of guitars and drums with the interjection of piano, strings and a few other surprises.

Album Notes
The release of the band's acoustic record, "Acoustics" marks the beginning of a new sound for Floater. Fans of Floater's electric shows will definitely appreciate the raw emotion captured in this release.
The album was recorded and produced with D.A.X. at Leialohapomaikai'nani Studios in Tacoma, Washington. Moving into a hardwood ballroom that had been converted into a studio, the group worked to make the album without digital editing to capture the fresh, live feeling of the bands natural acoustic sound.

Beautiful Stuff
Floater proves themselves as truely amazing musical talent. These three guys are not limited to just the fast and hard "power chord" rock. Their talents exists far beyond that and this albulm proves it.

Thumbs up
I have been listening to Floater for 10 years. I love Angels, Glyph, Sink, Burning, and all live albums. This album diplays the deversity they can acheive. It shows there growth from sink to present. I still long for their heavier songs but there is nothing like sitting on the couch on a rainy day with some Nag Champa burning and listening to this album.

Another exemplary album!
Any truly die hard fan of Floater loves and respects every song from every album...this was no exception. I fell in love with it instantly and was amazed how Rob can make the most cliched rhymes and phrases fresh and exciting. Along with Dave and Pete's stunning music, this album had me all the way through.

The Weazel

As a long time Floater fan, I can say this CD is one of their best... Their talent really shows thru...!

Shows the bands ability to transform their music .

masterpiece acoustic theatre
Acoustic albums are a trendy thing for some bands, reprising the greatest hits in another version. Floater, on the other hand, has an entire acoustic side to them, that normally just us lucky concert goers get to see. Rather than their first acoustic album up as "greatest hits", here is all new material, carefully crafted to showcase their milder side. It still most certainly rocks, but think of this as the deliciously painted sunset after the electrical storm.

Everything I expected and more
Floater never ceeses to amaze me. Why isn't this bad HUGE? Most talented three piece band I've ever heard. I absolutely love every one of there cds. They always get better.

I Love Floater, I absolutely, positivly love Floater!
I use the word love very sparingly, and since I first heard their music, I have loved Floater. This new CD is just another example that this passionate band can never be touched; their music is truly one of a kind and their talent will never be matched. They are ever changing and at the same time they always stay true to who they are; three beautiful, inspiring, awsome guys that are in it for the music and fans and not the money and popularity. I just can't say enough about Floater, I love you guys!
