ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Floater’s Live album, "Floater Lives" double disc is the combination of the band’s previously released recording "The Great Release" and "Live at The Aladdin. This collection of performances shows the incredible versatility and excitement of the bands live performances. Turning simple studio releases into spiraling transitions of musical soundscapes, these tracks show why Floater has become known over the years as a live band.
Also included is the never before released track "Cold" featuring Jen Stroker of Drumattica and Dahlia.

I love floater!
It's a great album. They're better live. To actually see them is awesome! So of course a live album would be great!

Captures Floater's live experience perfectly, minus the visuals.
These CD's are great. If you've ever been to a Floater concert, you know how amazing they are, and if you've never been, these CD's are the next best thing to seeing them. The songs are so incredibly different live, almost entirely different from the album tracks, but in a really good way. They are outstanding musicians. It's as simple as that. If you're a fan of Floater, there should be no doubt in your mind whether you should buy these or not. Buy it, and enjoy.

great - if you're a fan
This album is a wonderful deal. It not only combinds both of Floater's live albums, it adds another three songs to the original tracklist. If you're a big fan of Floater, this set is a must-have.

However, if you are still getting used to Floater - maybe heard a song of theirs on the radio or at a friend's house, I would not recommend this set. While Floater puts on a good live show, the simple fact of the matter is they sound much better in the studio. Their live songs go off on tangents, the lyrics wander in strange directions - again, neat if you're a fan, nothing special if not. Go pick up Angels or Alter and, if you like what you hear, then give their live stuff a shot.

lust for live
While this reviewer is a reletively "new" member of the Floater live following, in a short time they've supplanted some pretty major names as band I've most often seen. And at every show, I was pestering their label rep for a copy of L@A and TGR... the one time I caught her with Alladin, it magically ended up going to Italy to salve a european floater fan's jones for the live experience. Anyway, for those not lucky enough to live in Floater's stomping grounds, here's your chance to catch a bit of their legendary live performance magic... certainly not a replacemnet for their studio works, particularly for those new to the band, but a must have for fans old and new alike.

I was blessed with an oppurtunity to buy this CD. This is every thing you could ask for in a double disc set!! Its so amazing its hard for me to put it down in words. on that note I am speechless!!!

No regrets
This CD is highly recommended to any Floater fan, whether they have seen them live or not. It begins to convey the beauty of the live experience and the divergence one is blessed with at one of the band's shows. Two cds for the price of one. One can't go wrong.

All that is missing are the lights!!
Been seeing Floater since '94...these live cd's are almost like being there..all's thats missing is the killer lightshow...

These two CD's are awesome, I haven't see Floater in concert so I don't know how they sound live but these two CD's are great. Now my collection is complete.

Remastered goodness!
The additional tracks on The Great Release add a sort of continuity to the original release. And of course, it's great to finally have access to Live At The Aladdin (the original release was VERY hard to come by here in Texas). Ace stuff from my new favorite band--Floater are AWESOME!! :)

Thanks!
Finally, I'm able to complete my Floater collection by owning "Live at the Aladdin." Thin Skin & Dead were awesome additions to "The Great Release," and the duet added to "Live at the Aladdin" is excellent too. A great collector's item for any Floater fan to have. Thanks!
