Album Notes
Followed by Ghosts is an instrumental band from the heartland. Drawing influences from post-rock gods Godspeed You Black Emperor! and Explosions In The Sky, they have created their own melodic brand of instrumental guitar rock.

Their debut record, "The Entire City Was Silent," was recorded all in churches, and has received many positive responses since day one of its release. Including seven tracks ranging from under two minutes to over nine, there is a wide range of emotions and melodies.

"A maturity exists that belies their collective experience, with an amazing sense of individual awareness within the band – never overstepping or overcrowding each other in sound. They allow each the necessary space to shine, and shine they do, like a carbon arc searchlight. Symbiotic guitars weave smoothly executed melodies, metallic shimmerings that swell to blistering crescendos. Littered with start-stop syncopation and percussion that marches into the ether..."

-The Silent Ballet

"Each of the seven songs follows a pattern similar to waves, dipping in and out of quiet and relatively calm sections, then building into swells of noise that are sometimes majestic and transcendent and other times driving and vigorous. You can hear each instrument distinctly, but at the same time they are fused into one, complete sound. The entire album flows together along this same model, with different musical phrases repeated throughout."

highly emotional Great Music, filled with twitter, talking guitars 8-), delicate and careful sounds are finally replaced by headbang. beautiful compositions, melancholic, nostalgic and.. pathetic. no 6. grande finale. whatever may be said, FBG are highly skilfull and very keen post rock musicians. bought a couple of CharlieDeltas ;-) from CD Baby and this one is my favourite. Besides.. fantastic name for the band.. come to Europe, anywhere in Europe..

This CD blew me away. It is music with a purpose. The segues from quiet melodic music to powerful crescendos is beautifully performed and reminiscent of Explosions in the Sky. Anyone serious about post rock music needs to get this CD!
