ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Revelant is the new publification from Forcentury and the result of three years of exhausting research!

The style is classical heavy metal with elements of power metal, progressive metal as well as thrash, symphonic and classic rock parts. The compositions are complex including twin guitars and soaring keyboards, yet always with a thread running through it and tied together by the distinct classical AOR-sounding, forceful, vibrating vocal of lead singer Johnn Thunder.

The lyrics reveal issues such as the flaws of society, state of the world and the imperfection of man. Revelant is bleak and insistent in the cry for change to avert tragedy in our personal lives and our shared global reality. All lyrics and music written by Forcentury!

“Revelant” has been mixed and produced at Denmarks legendary Medley Studios by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza, Mike Tramp, Artillery, Essence, Oliver Weers). Furthermore “Revelant” was recorded and engineered at Copenhagen-based Earplug Studio (Mercyful Fate, Hank Shermanns Demonica, Force of Evil, Fate, Pitchblack, Iron Fire).

The artwork for “Revelant” has been made by Sweedish artist Monowasp (Fate, Fatal Smile, Rusty Cooley, Dreamscape, Thy Majestie).

Revelant solidifies Forcentury’s position as part of the contemporary Danish metal elite!

The press wrote:

'Relevant' is a passionate, pure Metal album that should appeal to all fans of Metal whatever the genre. I really hope this band get the recognition they deserve and I would bite your hand off to see them live.

...the review can be shortened to just two words; Heavy Metal. Danish band Forcentury understand the classic art of hand made, hand crafted, played from the soul metal. A hammer, an anvil and a hellish fire. Incredible.
- massmovement.co.uk

The guitars sound heavier, the keyboard parts fit in perfectly and the mix of AOR sounding parts, progressive elements and power metal sounds very natural. They create a dark sounding melancholy atmosphere that puts them miles away from the more happy sounding power metal acts.
- powerofmetal.dk

This is pure enjoyment, this is a quality standard for upcoming releases. ... 'Revelant' is one of the most impressive albums in months...
- metaltoinfinity.be

Forcentury has managed to make a worthy successor for their debut album. It just grabs you from the start and refuses to let go.

FORCENTURY made it in the same level as their great debut showing that there is always something both flowing and clever in Progressive Power Metal.

I haven’t heard this kind of metal in a long time. Didn’t know I missed it until this album dropped in on me.
