ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Fear Is The Enemy" is the first in a 4-part series of EPs by acclaimed guitar-player/composer/producer Tom Geldschläger a.k.a. Fountainhead. Drawing from a wide range of influences from progressive rock/metal, jazz-fusion, classical-, electronic- and world-music, "Fountainhead provides a mind blowing trip into musical realms largely untraveled. This is pure, instrumental greatness with a creative, progressive metal edge." (Thecirclepit.com)
Lead by the unique (fretless)guitar work of "the Steve Vai of the new millennium" (Christian Münzner - Obscura, Necrophagist), it sprawls with "great orchestrations and adventurous music, like nothing you've ever heard before" (Richard Hallebeek - RHP, Weaveworld) and features guest-contributions by musicians from all over the globe:
Matthias A. Preisinger - violin, viola, harp & orchestral keyboards
Elyse Jacobson - violin
Alice Dixon - cello
Andreas Müller - acoustic upright bass
Yatziv Caspi - tabla, hang-drum & percussion
Finlay Panter - electronic drums
Eric Czar - electric fretless bass & e-bow
Lille Gruber - acoustic drums
Jacob Schmidt - electric bass
Charlie Zeleny - acoustic drums
Jimmy Pitts - keyboards & piano
Ishay Sommer - additional programming.

A professional music video for the title-track (shot, directed and edited by Martin Bahre) has been released on youtube.com/fountainheadtv.

Check it out!!!!
Creative, technical, beautiful, brutal and intelligent music from Fountainhead. He´s up there with the great guitar virtuosos of our time.

Mind Blowing!
One of my favorite instrumental CDs so far. The production is outstanding and you'll love the experimentalism and the creativity of one of the most groundbreaking german guitarists. A must-listen sound experience.
