Francine Reed says, "I know I was born to sing," and thus began performing professionally at the ripe young age of 4 with parents and siblings, and never looked back. From her early days as a Jazz and R & B vocalist in Phoenix, Arizona, through a couple dozen plus years as "foreground vocalist" with Texas troubadour Lyle Lovett, through a move that led her to Atlanta and previous recordings (the first release at age 47), Francine has been building toward a live album to call her personal best. And this is it.
No matter the stylistic leaning, one thing is consistent: every performance is steeped in the spirit and passion of live jazz and blues. Meet Francine Reed and you've just met your new best friend; hear her sing and you've just heard someone who knows your soul.
Fortunately, she relied on some of Atlanta's best musicians, the Jez Graham Trio, for support with a strong groove.
