Album Notes
From the heart of the midwest comes TRIBE!! Blending various influences from folk to rock to reggae, TRIBE plays "music with a message."

Incorporating improvisational jams into and around the songs, each live show takes on a new form. The songs remain the same...its the experience that's different.

Formed in 1997 as a 3 piece, Tribe grew in the art of improv. The addition of the keyboards as another voice expanded and filled out the sound. Developing their sound out of the underground they emerged from the studio in October, 2000 with their first release, a 12 song CD titled, "We the People."

Blending a variety of influences into their own, TRIBE plays music with a message. Though not a "Jam" band, in the live format the band plays in and around the songs making each show a unique experience, drawing the audience in as one with the band.

Great honest music with a powerful message & feeling
Tribe is an outstanding band and their debut album has
captured the energy of their live shows. Powerful music with
a message and feeling, that invites the listener into some
higher level of communication. My feet keep moving when I
listen to their music.

I love this!
Everytime I play this CD I get all choked up. Lately, new music is so lacking. In exactly what, I'm not sure, but most new music fails to make me feel anything. Tribe has power and you can feel that the songs are coming from their heart. Every song on this CD is important, there' no silly puppy love here or lame anti-social poser garbage. Besides the message, these guys can play! It's pure rock and roll, with an ecclectic feel though. You can tell they know their instruments and have a wide range of influances.

Fun CD
I took a chance on this one, not knowing this band at all... and it's the best new CD in my collection! The range of styles within the CD is amazing. It brings me back to Spring Fling days in college! Feels like a party in my living room! I LOVE IT!
