Great to hear some different music
Time to own up! I am biased. I live in Spain, in the Valencian province. Mr. Fritze's music came to light through a broadcast on Spanish national radio. It was just one step further to find a CD of his music. But what a delight to find that his music was excellently played by Spanish bands (and that's not to deny the soloists their due praise) and very well recorded too. New music, fresh music to my ears - and that's good news. Regrets? Just one - that the piece heard on the radio (Flor de Azahar) is not on the CD. Something to hope for the next time!
